You might have seen references to a person's fate being decided at birth by stars in novels. This is a belief that goes back to ancient times where people believed that on the day of your birth, the arrangement of the stars created a unique star chart for you. This determined your fortune, personality and even fate.

Each person had a unique star chart that determined their natal horoscope. It wasn't just about the date and time. It also depended on which stars were visible to you at that time. Just because someone was born on the same day and time as you, it didn't mean that they had the same star chart as you.
